Hi, I’m Nicola
I’m the face behind the lens at Golden & Co Photography. I’m based in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, where I live with my husband Dan and our two gorgeous boys. After growing up in Brisbane, we made the move to be closer to our happy place, the beach, and these days, we’re often found with sandy feet, soaking up the sun, or exploring bush trails.
Photography has always been part of my life. My glamorous mum was a model in the 70s and 80s, while my dad was a commercial photographer. Watching him shoot everything from products to portraits opened my eyes to the magic of storytelling through a lens and led me to study photography. Nearly 20 years later, and I’m still incredibly grateful to call it my career.
My Approach
I aim to capture real life – candid, chaotic, tender, and joyfully unscripted. Whether it’s newborn snuggles, a baby bump glow, a giggling toddler, a teary “I do,” or a beautifully imperfect family moment – I’m here to preserve it with warmth and authenticity.
I’m passionate about creating timeless images that don’t sit in folders. They hang on walls, spark joy, and connect generations. My approach is gentle and unobtrusive, allowing genuine connection and emotion to shine through.
I photograph babies, families, weddings and all sorts of events. I love to shoot those special moments that can be captured for a lifetime.
